SUMMARY
Prepare designs, specifications, start-up assistance, and support for refinery instrumentation and control projects and to provide support to maintenance and operations for troubleshooting and other instrument and control needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following. Other related duties may be assigned as required.
Design instrumentation loop diagrams and electrical equipment schematics and electrical drawings.
Perform liaison work with instrument and electrical contract personnel on projects.
Supervise work of some outside contractors.
Confer with Maintenance Department concerning new construction and maintenance where own designs are involved.
Work with refinery Plant Engineering Project Group on instrumentation and electrical design installation.
Work with refinery Process Engineering Instrumentation Group on instrumentation design installation.
Assist with estimates to supervisor for annual budget.
Performs other duties as requested or needed.
Specify and requisition field instrumentation including but not limited to
Control Valves
Relief devices
Flow instrumentation
Level instrumentation
Pressure instrumentation
Temperature instrumentation
Analyzers, including sample systems and shelters
Honeywell Experion and TPS equipment
Configure Honeywell TPS and Experion I/0 and develop schematics for use by operators
Develop or modify auto-start and shutdown logic with the Honeywell system as required by MOC or other input.
Assist on major capital projects as required
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science Engineering Technology degree or Associate's degree (A. A.) from a two-year college or technical school is preferred, five to ten years related experience and/or training is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places or enclosed spaces, and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the plant environment is usually loud.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
