Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor

Job Posting CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Pipelines & Terminals group. We are looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor to supervise, coordinate, and support all electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA work for the pipeline systems operated out of McPherson, Kansas.  You must be a self-motivated, detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a commitment to quality, accuracy and the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work in both a team environment and on self-directed tasks are necessary.    You will: Beresponsiblefor capital project design, cost estimation, implementation, and startup, including the development and execution of the following: Well-defined project scope including participations in the management of change process AFE quality estimate for budgeting purposes Bid packages either through the utilization of internal resources or contract personnel Awarding of work to contract companies including coordinating with appropriate personnel to develop applicable contract or service agreement Project management Work with operational personnel to develop training and procedures Assistance during startup of new facilities Perform and oversee the maintenance, design, and operation of communications networks.  Includes responsibility for ensuring control system and displays meet regulatory requirements found in 29CFR Part 195 and all applicable standards. Perform and oversee the maintenance, design, and operation of electrical power system.  Includes verification that existing and new electricaldistribution meets electrical design code. Provide supervision and technical support for SCADA support staff, pipeline leak detection staff, and field E&I Technicians.  Includes prioritization of work and facilitating communication regarding work progress between all members of staff. Assist in development and preparations of necessary documentation (operating procedures, drawings, specifications, etc.). Additionally, development of standards, where applicable, to ensure consistency in both field and control room activities. Basic Qualifications: (required) Electrical license and 10+ years of applicable experience, or applicable degree from accredited four year college and five or more years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of SCASA communication and networking systems, PC hardware and programming, and related programmable devices Knowledge of process instrumentation Knowledge of electrical power systems and equipment Experience with project support and/or management Preferred Qualifications: (desired) Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Controls, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university Petroleum industry experience Understanding of Process Control system architecture as it relates to security, functionality, and performance expectations. Experience working hands on to troubleshoot communication issues, Ethernet systems, and interfaces among system hardware and software systems, and ability to perform online software upgrades Experience with design, cost estimation, scheduling, construction, management, and cost control of capital projects. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
