Sr. Project Manager - Engineering

ROLE SUMMARY Project manager coordinates and manages large and complex projects within the site capital project portfolio. Assists with tactical oversight for the site's project engineering strategies/programs, which includes Long Range Capital Plan development, workload distribution of projects, and leading programs at the site. Directs strategy and communication with internal and external customers throughout the lifecycle of the Capital Project Serves as coach and mentor for lessor experienced project engineers. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Fulfills project manager duties for large and complex capital projects. Assists with developing, tracking, reporting and reacting to appropriate metrics for measuring and improving success of strategies implemented. Provides coaching and mentoring for the lessor experienced project engineers to assist in their development in managing capital projects. Collaborate with peer project managers within the group  to ensure the mission, objectives, and strategies are executed consistently and to the fullest extent to support the site as intended and outlined in service level agreements with the varies customer groups. Assist with assessing project engineering resources needed to execute on the Capital Plan's workload and assist with adjusting resourcing level accordingly to meet customer needs that match the priorities of the site Work closely with customers to understand their needs and respond accordingly to develop the appropriate scope for projects assigned. Develop capital project conceptual designs, preliminary budgets and schedules. Develop "request for proposal" documents for design services, construction services, and major equipment items as appropriate. Responsible for the overall capital project cost and schedule control Preparation of monthly project reports, capital spending reports, cash flow planning, and forecasts Contribute to the overall management of the site's capital projects portfolio Prepare documents for regulatory agency, internal, corporate  and third party inspections; appear before inspectors/auditors to answer questions Work within cross-functional teams to author/develop equipment/utility requirement/specification documents (URS/FRS, value engineering design review, design specs, config specs, Hazop) Work within cross-functional teams to author/develop commissioning documents Assist in preparation of all safety work permits for contractors Active involvement with site safety initiatives and Right First Time initiatives QUALIFICATIONS Required: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field Required: 10 years plus of project management on engineering capital projects Required: 5 years plus pharmaceutical industry experience Preferred: 5 years plus experience in managing $5MM+ capital projects. Preferred: PMP Certification Preferred: Knowledge in operation and reliability of water for injection, clean steam, classified and unclassified area HVAC, compressed air systems, aseptic filling equipment, autoclaves, depyrogenation, automated visual inspection equipment, and typical packaging line component equipment. Preferred: Knowledge of the Pfizer Capital Project Management Processes Strong interpersonal, teamwork and problem solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
